Howdy, I’m Emily!

I’m a visual creative and athlete currently based out of Athens, Georgia. 

My creative career began with taking portraits of locals in my town of Athens, Georgia. As a former college athlete myself, my photography journey quickly evolved into documenting local sporting events and the occasional wedding of close friends. For four years, working around my 9-5 job, I continued honing my skills of visual storytelling, eventually launching my freelance career in January 2023.

I have worked incredibly hard to curate a unique portfolio of images and videos around the three sports that I feel the most connected to - cycling, swimming, and running. It’s one thing to simply document a sports event. It is another thing entirely to blur the line between sports photography and art, to capture emotion and a sense of place. I want people viewing my images to know how it feels to participate in the sports I shoot even if they have never competed in those disciplines themselves.

While the outdoors and sports are what I consider my creative speciality, I prefer not to pigeon hole myself into one genre of visual arts. I welcome all ideas and challenges to create beautiful pictures and video and I’d love the chance to collaborate with any individuals, brands, or organizations to help elevate a vision and overall reach!
